I feel what I drew looked destructive and chaotic. The myth of the Kraken sounded very interesting because of its large size and its horrific nature. A connection between the illustration and me is that it is considered not real but if it was, well probably nobody will go out to sea. I'm interested in fantasy and thinking what would it be like if such things existed. I never drew this kind of theme before so this charcoal drawing was something new to me and let me experience some different techniques.

Inspiration for the Charcoal Illustration
(Horror Story Excerpt)

The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadowy sides: above him swell
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
There hath he lain for ages and will liev Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then by man and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.
