Natalie This is a painting of the ocean on a sunny morning, when the sun is just rising on the horizon. It is a monoprint. To do this, first I painted my picture on a clear overhead, in paint and let it dry for about 30 seconds. I then printed it onto a piece of craft paper. To give the painting more definition, I put another clear overhead on my dry painting and outlined the shapes. I then rolled ink on the other side, put it back on my print and outlined the shapes with a pencil. By doing this, the lines that I drew on the clear overhead printed onto my print and outlined the shapes with black ink. The things I like about this print are the variety of colours that I used, but it probably could have printed onto the paper a bit better. |
