:: Community as Partners
At Edmonton Public Schools, we feel it's vital to connect with the community - organizations, government agencies, post-secondary educational institutions, businesses, service groups and the public at large - in order to provide students with a range of enhanced learning experiences.
Our District values the many formal and informal partnerships we have with a wide variety of groups. We consider partnership in the broadest terms and our definition of Educational Partnerships (from Board Policy JAA.AR Educational Partnerships and Sponsorships) states that they are mutually beneficial, co-operative relationships in which partners share values; objectives; human, material, or financial resources; roles and responsibilities to enhance learning for students.
To celebrate these partnerships, we have asked our schools and central departments to provide us with a list of their community partners. We would like to thank all of our partners for their tireless efforts to help our District create bright futures for all students.
Attempts have been made to ensure that all of our partners are included in this list. However, we may have inadvertently missed someone, so if you are a community partner, or know of a community partner, whose name is missing from this list, we want to hear from you. Similarly if you are a community partner who has been listed in error, please contact janice.bell@epsb.ca with corrections.

Consultations
At Edmonton Public Schools, we believe that it takes an entire community to educate a child and we value and respect the role the community plays in shaping public education. From time to time we invite students, parents/families, and representatives from post-secondary, business and community organizations to participate in public consultations. These consultations offer stakeholder groups an opportunity to provide their input on District initiatives and challenges.
Consultation dates are identified throughout the school year and details are posted on the Edmonton Public District site. http://www.epsb.ca/
Stakeholders are also encouraged to participate in the District's ongoing policy review process. Click here for a list of policies under review and for access to the online feedback form.
