:: Media Releases Monday, February 22, 2010 Good Things Are Happening On Wednesday, February 24, the students at Donnan School will be celebrating the spirit of the Olympic Games by taking part in a number of winter sports events. The Opening Ceremonies will take place in the front yard of the school at 8:45 a.m. The students will recite the Olympic Oath and the Olympic flame will be lit. Each class grouping will then participate in five of the 10 events being offered. The events are cross country skiing, ski jumping, hockey, curling, speed skating, biathlon, bobsleigh, alpine skiing, free style and skating. The events have been modified so that all students can take part and have fun. The closing ceremonies will take place at 11:45 a.m., and all the students will receive Olympic certificates.
