District introduces new tagline

For the past few months, Edmonton Public Schools has been working on the development of a new tagline. As part of this effort, we involved those people who matter most in our District: our students.

The Communications department worked with students in Kindergarten, Grade 6, Grade 9, and Grades 10 to 12. The students shared their thoughts about the words and ideas they felt were important for us to convey in the District tagline.

The students' input was used to create the new District tagline: Bright futures begin here.

The tagline suggests that no matter what point a student enters Edmonton Public Schools, and whatever their background and ability, they will receive a high quality education in our District. It also indicates that the education we provide to our students will support them in their success, both in school and beyond.

The tagline is an all encompassing message that says: everybody’s in; every student has the right to a bright future.

It’s what we are all about as a District.
