Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, the Manager of Web Property Development is responsible for the ongoing growth and development of the District’s Web properties, epsb.ca and Connect.

Working closely with the Managers of External and Internal Communications, the successful candidate will oversee the ongoing functional enhancement of the District’s epsb.ca and Connect, based on stakeholder testing and collaboration with District Technology. The day-to-day content management of the District’s Web properties remains the purview of the External and Internal Communications. This position, by comparison, designs and implements digital strategies related to the Web properties’ functionality and the tools to address stakeholders’ evolving needs and expectations.

  • a degree in a related field
  • a minimum of six years of related experience including website user experience, website development, project management and stakeholder engagement
  • experience in Agile and Waterfall project management


The successful candidate will:

  • use research and analytics to understand audience interests, online behavior as well as emerging trends and technologies to improve the District’s Web properties to ensure they continually serve the needs of the people we serve
  • manage improvement of stakeholders’ experience as they navigate through the Web properties, responding to and prioritizing stakeholders’ ‘asks,’ and ensure the District is getting the most out of these investments
  • ensure the District’s Web properties help create an outstanding experience for parents, community members and staff visiting the sites
  • demonstrate the ability to manage web teams and processes
  • provide consultation on other District Web properties
