Description

Reporting to the Electronic Foreman, this position will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Nortel and Avaya Phone systems.  Experience in security systems, card access systems, public address systems, CCTV and audio equipment is desired. 

Qualifications:

  • Alberta or Interprovincial Journeyperson Communication Technician certificate
  • a minimum of five years progressive experience in the communication, electronics and security industry is desirable
  • good problem solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software applications
  • strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work load and job-site tasks
  • ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • good communication and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate must be prepared to use their own vehicle to travel to work sites within the City of Edmonton and provide their own hand tools.

Rate of Pay

$40.23 per hour ($3,218.40 bi-weekly) with Advance on Expenses: $408.37 bi-weekly
