Edmonton Public Schools is committed to providing and promoting working environments that foster respectful and responsible behaviour. It is the responsibility of Trustees, staff members, parents, volunteers and contract workers to contribute to creating a positive work environment. The Board is obligated to protect all employees of Edmonton Public Schools from harassment, discrimination, and personal harassment during EPS work and school-related activities. The Board prohibits harassment, personal harassment, and discrimination and expects the reporting of allegations of harassment or discrimination to be investigated in a timely and respectful manner. Appropriate action will be taken against those whose behaviour contravenes this policy. The Board expects the Superintendent of Schools, principals and district administrators to:
