Addendum (effective September 8, 2008):

The regulation below is suspended for the 2008-2009 school year. However, all learning groups of over 30 students must be reported to the superintendent of schools.

There shall be no more than thirty students in any learning group at any time without prior approval of the superintendent of schools.
  1. Requests for the approval shall include:

    1. a statement verifying that the teacher of the learning group has been consulted;

    2. a description of the results of the consultation with the teacher;

    3. the rationale for the size of the learning group; and

    4. an outline of the support that will be provided to the teacher of the learning group.
