These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Balwin School

Balwin School is built on the strength of a diverse school community full of vibrant opportunities to engage all students. We ensure learning is relevant and quality relationships are priority. Our school environment nurtures intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth for all students.

We challenge students to build their academic potential with a focus on citizenship, leadership, problem-solving, respect and responsibility.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

Balwin School uses a student-driven approach to learning. This helps students become engaged in learning that is meaningful to them. They will discover their own interests, employ individual learning styles and find their own motivation as they acquire skills that will be valuable throughout their lives.

Our teachers help students set goals, encourage students to assess themselves against a standard of excellence, help them to work co-operatively in groups, ensure that they know how to solve problems and contribute to the community in a meaningful manner. Students acquire knowledge and develop the skills and attitudes necessary to become capable of making a difference in our global society.
