These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About J.A. Fife School

At J.A. Fife School, we believe reading and writing are essential skills, critical to the success of our students. We offer the regular elementary program in English, French Immersion and Literacy. French as a Second Language is offered to students from Grade 4 to 6 in the English program. Balanced Literacy, 6 + 1 Traits of Writing, and the Safe and Caring Schools character education programs are in place for all grade levels.

Students from communities other than our immediate community attend our French Immersion and Literacy programs. Students use technology for learning, and we have a strong music program with choral, hand bells and Orff. Our school is supported by the school council and a parent advisory committee. A before- and after-school program is available, and students are dismissed early on Thursday afternoons.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In our school motto, “At J.A. Fife School we learn to read and read to learn”
  • That students should be challenged to their fullest potential and be given the opportunity to achieve a level of knowledge and skills that matches their abilities and needs
  • In using character education to give students a framework for behaviour and learning
