These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Kate Chegwin School

Kate Chegwin School fosters a community of academic excellence and leadership, ignites creativity and nurtures the human spirit. Our junior high offers the regular, Academic Enrichment, Strategies and Connections programs. Students may take courses such as French as a second language, Punjabi Language and Culture, Art, Drama, Film, Guitar, Outdoor Education, Digital Photography, Construction and Foods.

We primarily serve the communities of Bisset, Minchau, Weinlos, Laurel and Silverberry; however, we are currently accepting applicants from all Edmonton areas. Students can participate in a number of extracurricular clubs and activities, both at lunch and after school. Use of school provided technology is a strong focus as we develop the 21st century learner. Early intervention strategies are used to identify students at risk or requiring more challenge, and students with diverse needs are included in regular classes with support. We partner with many community organizations which provide support for our students.

Kate Chegwin School is the overflow designated school for Svend Hansen School.
