These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Kirkness School

At Kirkness School, we empower students to become responsible, independent decision makers who demonstrate good citizenship. We provide the regular elementary program and use intervention plans when required. We also offer Reading Recovery in Grade One, Levelled Literacy Intervention and Middle Years Literacy Intervention. Our students learn leadership through the Leader in Me program.

Inclusive Learning Services helps to provide supports for Special Needs programming and we work with parents ad other agencies to provide additional supports as needed for students who may be considered as at-risk. We actively encourage parent involvement. The school is open five days a week for community use.

We believe:

  • In giving everyone the opportunity to develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically and creatively as unique individuals
