These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School

Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School is a Kindergarten to Grade 9 school located in the Greater Windermere community that serves students who live in the communities of Ambleside and Glenridding Heights.

The school is named after a distinguished chemist who served as the Associate Dean of Diversity for the Faculty of Science at the University of Alberta. Dr. Armour never missed an opportunity to talk about the importance of curiosity, asking questions and making the world a better place.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In fostering a diverse and inclusive community where we cultivate the conditions to foster curiosity and empower one another
  • In providing students with strong academic programming and opportunities to be actively involved in citizenship and leadership initiatives
  • In working alongside families to create a safe, welcoming and healthy learning environment that supports and challenges all students

OVERFLOW DESIGNATED SCHOOLS

Our school uses a lottery process for new resident students living in our attendance area. Students who are not selected can attend McKee School (K-6), Vernon Barford School (Grades 7-9) or a school with space in planned classes.
