Take the time to find schools you’re interested in and choose one that suits you. Visit school websites and social media accounts and review program guides to learn more about what you can look forward to at each school, including:
Resident students can attend their designated school if they register (new students) or pre-enrol (current students) before 4 p.m. on March 22, 2024. In most cases, a resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic.
Use the Find a School tool to find your designated school. If your designated school uses a lottery process, you may not be able to attend that school.
If you move into the attendance area of a lottery school after 4 p.m. on March 22, 2024, and the school is full in your grade, you can go to the overflow designated school or another school with space. You can ask to be added to the lottery school’s callback list until the end of September.
You may also choose to attend any other high school in the Division, as long as:

The Education Act requires us to enrol resident students first.
If you would like to learn online, you can register or pre-enrol at Argyll Centre. Students will be accepted as long as there is room in the desired class or program. Learn more about online learning in Edmonton Public Schools.
If you’re applying to Old Scona, you must meet certain entrance criteria and submit an application by 4 p.m. on February 2, 2024. Learn more about schools with entrance criteria.
If you’re new to Edmonton Public Schools, you’ll need to register as a new student with your preferred school before 4 p.m. on March 22, 2024. Applying after March 22 may limit your options to high schools with available space.

Parents of current Division students will select their child’s preferred high school by signing in to their parent SchoolZone account between 8 a.m. February 1 and 4 p.m. March 22, 2024. If you have questions or need help completing pre-enrolment before the March 22 deadline, contact your school. Learn more about pre-enrolling a current Division student for the next school year.
