These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Richard Secord School

Richard Secord School helps students achieve academic excellence by providing alternative program choices that meet a variety of student needs. We offer the regular elementary program, French Immersion and the Cogito Program. French as a Second Language is offered to Grades 4 to 6 in the regular program, and to Grades 1 to 6 in the Cogito Program.

Students enjoy many leadership, citizenship and interest activities, and we have a co-ordinated character education program. Parent and community volunteers support the school, and we have strong support from the school council. Community groups use our gym in the evenings. Out-of-school care is available in our building.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In focusing on literacy and numeracy
  • In celebrating diversity
  • In helping students develop positive character traits and citizenship skills
  • In using technology in our classrooms
