These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About Sherwood School

Sherwood School strives to meet the unique needs of Kindergarten to Grade 6 students. Our class sizes are small, and we provide the primary, intermediate and junior Opportunity Program. Grades 3 to 6 receive Spanish Language and Culture instruction. We are a Leader in Me school and provide the Kids on Track after-school program, the Coyote Pride noon-hour program and the Coyote Kids evening program. All students receive a morning snack, and a breakfast program is available. We’re also an APPLE school, helping students make healthy choices.

Sherwood School works closely with Student Learning Services to provide support to high-needs Kindergarten students in our full-day program. The Gospel Centre Church provides volunteers to work with students, special event meals, and hampers for our most needy families.

There is a daycare in our building as well as the White Cloud Aboriginal Head Start Program.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In providing a safe environment where students can achieve to the best of their ability, become positive contributing members of society and build healthy peer relationships
  • In ensuring parents find an open door and a place of trust, where they can share and contribute
  • That staff members should be positive, respectful role models for students and parents
