  • Alberta Learning Information Service site This site provides information about financial support available to Alberta students, and contains links to other scholarship providers.

  • Associations of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) - information on Canadian higher education; this group administers more than 150 scholarship programs on behalf of the federal government, domestic and foreign agencies, and private sector companies.

  • The Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation was created to grant awards to students who are in financial need and demonstrate merit. In the administration of its programs, the Foundation has three guiding principles: to focus on assisting Canadian students who demonstrate financial need and academic merit; to avoid duplication of existing financial aid programs and costly repetition of administrative procedures; to ensure fairness and equity in the delivery of its programs and resources.

  • Canadian Federation of Students - information by students for students on issues facing college and university students today.

  • Canada's Free Financial Aid Resource - a database of scholarships, bursaries, grants, and fellowships plus a search engine that matches student profiles with suitable awards.

  • Directory of Private Sector Funding for Aboriginal Students - provided by the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development (DIAND), this website lists available scholarships and bursaries for Inuit, Métis, and Status and Non-Status First Nations students.

  • Human Resources Development Canada Programs - this site links to opportunities for career and personal development through governments, school boards, private trainers, and other community agencies; and information on Canada Student Loans Program under financial assistance.

  • Scholarships Canada - this is a comprehensive scholarship portal with an extensive database to find scholarships, student awards, bursaries and grants.

  • School Finder - provides information about post-secondary and career opportunities in Canada and an on-line counseling service; scholarship site is linked to Scholarships Canada.

  • Toyota Earth Day Scholarship Program
    Toyota Canada Inc. and Earth Day Canada established this program to celebrate and encourage environmentally-minded students. The program consists of 15 awards of $5,000 each, 3 for Western Canada, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. The program is for students who are currently in their graduating year of a Canadian high school or who graduated in the last year.
