Catherine Ripley
October 2010 to October 2013

Catherine Ripley is the author of many books for young children, and is currently working on her 20th book. She has also enjoyed a successful editorial career with publications such as Cricket, Chickadee and Global biodiversity. Graduates of Trent University, Catherine and her husband have been married for 28 years and have three adult children. Catherine was one of the founding members of the Whitemud Coalition of Schools, which presented issue-specific reports on education to elected officials from 1999 to 2004. Entering her second term as a Trustee, she is committed to ensuring community members have a voice in shaping future directions for Edmonton Public Schools and is eager to put public education and its value in the hearts and minds of the entire community.
