The Minister of Education maintains the authority for prescribing the programs and courses of study which will be taught to students throughout the province of Alberta.
Edmonton Public Schools has the authority to develop, acquire, and offer courses and programs. The Division is responsible for assessing, providing programming for, placing and evaluating their students enrolled in Division schools.
