At Prince Charles School, we promote and develop the spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical growth of all students in a safe, caring, respectful and peaceful environment. We offer the Awasis Program to meet the needs of urban Indigenous students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Students are supported through a robust literacy and numeracy program, which also includes additional literacy supports such as Leveled Literacy Intervention. All students receive Cree language instruction and are encouraged to participate in the Indigenous History Quiz, fiddle, powwow dancing, drumming, Coyote Pride and intramural sports.
We serve all of Edmonton, and the majority of our students are of Indigenous ancestry. We offer Full-day Kindergarten, and all students are provided with a fresh food model lunch. Our school is fortunate to have community partnerships to support students and families. As an APPLE school, we support students, families and staff in making healthy choices. We are also a Leader In Me School building leaders of today and tomorrow!
