Ebbers Attendance Area Redesignation

ATTENDANCE AREA REDESIGNATION

The Ebbers neighbourhood will be redesignated for Kindergarten to Grade 6, effective for the 2018-19 school year.

REASONS FOR THE CHANGE 

The change will allow students living in Ebbers to:

Kirkness School has room to accommodate students from the Ebbers area.

CHOOSING TO REMAIN AT MCLEOD SCHOOL

Once a student enrols at a school, they can continue to attend that school. Siblings of these students can attend, as long as the student and their sibling attend the school at the same time. 

TIMELINES

The change will be in effect for the 2018-19 school year.

YELLOW BUS SERVICE 

McLeod School will no longer be the designated school for the Grand Isle, Stillwater and White Birch neighbourhoods. Only eligible students who attend their designated school receive yellow bus service.

PRE-ENROLMENT FOR THE 2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR

Parents of students attending a District school can pre-enrol in SchoolZone between March 12 and April 16, 2018. If your child is entering Grades K-6, sign in to your parent account to select either McLeod School or Kirkness School as your preferred school, depending on where you choose to send your child.

Students are guaranteed entry to their designated school if they register (new students) or pre-enrol (current students) no later than April 16, 2018.
