School councils provide the framework for families, principals, staff and community members to work together to support student achievement and success. Each person who takes the time to be involved in their school council or parent group plays a key role in the success of their school community.
At the Division level, we are here to support school councils and parent groups and provide opportunities for involvement and feedback.

Each year, school council chairs must submit an annual report to the Edmonton Public School Board. The report is a requirement outlined in Section 14 of Alberta Education and Childcare's School Councils Regulation.
We recommend council chairs complete the report by June so current school council members can contribute.
The final deadline to submit the school council annual report form is September 30.
