2024–25 INFORMATION PACKAGE

School councils provide the framework for families, principals, staff and community members to work together to support student achievement and success. Each person who takes the time to be involved in their school council or parent group plays a key role in the success of their school community. At the Division level, we are here to support school councils and parent groups and provide opportunities for involvement and feedback.

School Council Information and Requirements 2024–25 includes information about legal requirements, privacy issues for school councils. 

Alberta School Councils' Association Membership 2024–25 outlines the free ASCA membership available to all school councils.

Complete the 2024–25 School Council Registration form by October 18, 2024.

ANNUAL REPORTING

Each year, school council chairs must submit an annual report to the Edmonton Public School Board before September 30. The report is a requirement outlined in Section 14 of Alberta Education's School Councils Regulation.
 
We recommend council chairs complete the report by June so current school council members can contribute to the report.
