Stay connected with Edmonton Public Schools

We strive to keep families informed and connected to what’s happening across the Division.

Division social media channels play an important role in how we connect and engage with families, students and staff. They allow us to share updates, highlight the amazing things happening in schools, and celebrate the success of students, staff and communities.

No longer active on X

As the social media landscape changes, it is important to continue to assess how we use each channel. Even though the Division is growing, our audience on X continues to decrease. Fewer schools are choosing to share their stories on X and are instead focusing on Instagram and Facebook.

Last year, we shifted to only posting important operational updates on the platform. However, as engagement has continued to decline, starting in the 2025–26 school year, we will no longer post to X.

The Division will continue to post important operational updates, photos, good news stories and videos on our Facebook and Instagram channels. We encourage families to also stay connected with the Division and your school community on SchoolZone.
