READ IN Week goes virtual for 2020

Fri, 25 Sep, 2020

News item: Read In Week 2020

From October 5 to 9, schools across our Division will mark the 31st anniversary of READ IN week with the theme Read Around the World. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the event will be held virtually this year. As outlined in our COVID-19 Division Re-entry Strategy, external visitors and volunteers are not permitted in schools at this time.

READ IN Week celebrates a love for literacy and reinforces the important aspects of storytelling. This annual event is a special opportunity for our schools to share stories between students, staff and community members.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Anyone can participate in READ IN Week. In previous years, athletes, politicians, authors, parents, students and community members have joined in on the fun. If you’d like to be a virtual guest, you should contact a school directly. All READ IN events will be held virtually over Google Meets.
