News item: Province lifts remaining COVID-19 health restrictions

Yesterday, the province announced that Alberta has shifted to Step 3 of the provincial staged approach to relaxing COVID-19 measures. This includes lifting of masking on public transit and mandatory isolation requirements.

In addition to these changes, the province has archived its COVID-19 guideline documents for families and schools.

While students are no longer required to isolate if they are sick, the province still encourages individuals who are sick or have tested positive with COVID-19 to remain home and isolate.

Schools will also encourage students and staff to stay home when sick. If your child is sick, schools will have a sick room where they can go and you will be asked to come and pick up your child.

We will continue to use cleaning and disinfecting processes that help maintain a healthy learning and working environment.
