News item: Welcoming Keswick to Harry Ainlay School

Edmonton Public Schools is excited to announce the Keswick neighbourhood will be included in the designated attendance area for Harry Ainlay School beginning in the 2024–25 school year.

The Division has heard from families in Keswick they would like their children to be able to attend a high school closer to home. At the same time, enrolment pressures at Jasper Place School have increased.

Redesignating Keswick to Harry Ainlay School will allow students to attend school closer to home, while also helping manage growth at Jasper Place School.

Getting to school

Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is the preferred means of transportation for students in Grades 10–12. Yellow bus service may be provided for students attending their designated school if ETS service is not available.

Staying at Jasper Place School

Students from the Keswick area who are currently attending Jasper Place School can stay at the school if they wish. However, yellow bus service for students attending Jasper Place School will not be available, as they will no longer be attending their designated school. Families will need to make their own arrangements for getting to school.

Registration and pre-enrolment

Pre-enrolment and new student registration is open from February 1 to March 22, 2024.
