These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About John Barnett School

John Barnett School provides a safe, positive, nurturing environment that promotes student intellectual, social and emotional growth. We offer regular programming for Kindergarten to Grade 6, including music and Balanced Literacy, and French as a Second Language in Grades 4 to 6. Students with special needs are in regular classes, with support. Our students have as much contact with adults as possible in a day, and we keep classes as small as possible.

John Barnett School serves the community of Kilkenny and is available four days a week for community use. We ensure effective communication between teachers, students and parents and believe that this is essential to providing the best education for students.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • That every student needs to be a competent 21st Century Learner
  • It is important that all children experience success in school
  • Collaboration between teachers, students, parents and community is essential to provide the best education for our students
