About Winterburn School

Winterburn School is located on the west end of the city and proudly serves students from Westview Village and the Lewis Estates neighbourhoods. Winterburn School is rich in its history and is fortunate to be represented by diverse cultures. Winterburn School offers regular programming from Kindergarten to Grade 6. French as a second language is taught in Grades 4 to 6.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

Winterburn School's philosophy is focused on teaching and learning for a 21st century world. Our staff build a culture of collaboration and leadership through a Collaborative Response Model (CRM). This school-wide framework places inclusion at the core and helps our staff work together better to ensure a collective response that supports the individual needs of our students. We believe that when we work together as a community, we can create an educational experience that will prepare students for their future.
