These numbers represent enrolment on September 30 as submitted to Alberta Education.

Program enrolment may not equal a school's total enrolment because:

  • students may be enrolled in more than one program, and
  • some programs are not shown.

Enrolment data gives parents a general understanding of the number of students at a school or enrolled in a program. Although we’ve made every reasonable effort to ensure the data is accurate, there may still be errors. To confirm enrolment, contact the school.

About LaPerle School

LaPerle School is a caring school community that focuses on literacy, language development, numeracy and the success of the whole student. We stress the importance of reading, writing and numeracy from K-6 beginning in Kindergarten with the use of Jolly Phonics and programs such as IXL Math and the Exam Bank. The integrated use of technology in our teaching to support students is also a major focus. All classrooms have SMARTboards and document cameras and each student in Grades 4, 5and 6 and Strategies have the use of a Chromebook all day. K-3 students have access to the Chromebook lab.

We offer regular programming K-6 as well as Strategies Grades 3/4 and 5/6. We also provide learning opportunities for students in music, art and physical education and have extra-curricular programs such as floor hockey and track.

At LaPerle, we strive to meet the needs of all students. We are supported by our school council, whose mission statement is “We exist as a team in order to enhance life and learning within our school community.”

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe:

  • In the shared responsibility of parents, staff, students and community to maximize learning and growth for students
  • In supporting academic achievement, good behaviour, success, a lifelong love of learning, and a physically and emotionally safe environment
  • In making sure that students are at the heart of our decision making
